McIntyre Family and 1st birthday shoot!

Monday, December 12, 2011

I LOVE getting to meet new clients and this one was no exception.  The {M} family was a great referral from a current client and they had some great ideas for their shoot.  We combined a family shoot and a one year old cake smash at a nearby park.  The weather warmed up a bit at the end so little man wasn't freezing in his diaper.  I love the reactions that we got when {J} took his first taste.  Momma was trying to feed it to him but once he got that first taste it was all over from there. My bestie Summer of Swanky Pear made the adorable cupcake cake.  Thanks Sum!  They loved it! The balloons were a big hit too!  It was a fun new experience and I can't wait to do it again!

Isn't this the cutest little family you have ever seen?  We headed down to the Stockyards a few weeks ago to my new favorite location to get these sweet shots.  I was so excited that little man {K} would smile for me this time.  I had my first session with him a few months ago before he turned one and had a hard time getting him to sit still!  But he was still just as cute.  It was great to meet his whole family this time and we had great weather - thankfully the storms blew away and our night couldn't have been better.  Thanks again for such a fun time guys - next time I am down there I think I HAVE to stop and get me some cupcakes - they are calling to my pregnancy cravings like you wouldn't believe!

What a great family!  I loved getting to visit with them once again and see how much their family has grown in a year.  They were my Becky Higgins Big Photography Giveaway winner's last year and I was so excited when {M} scheduled another session this year.  We picked the railyard - always a favorite location and once again it didn't disappoint!  Check out the cuteness!

Another session ready to be blogged!  You'll be hearing a lot from me in the next few weeks.  Loved hanging out with this family and love returning clients!  I had a session with this little boy several months ago and was excited to hear from his momma again.  He's grown up so fast - it's crazy to see the changes in pictures.  We had a fun little session and it was great to catch up again.  Enjoy!

Catching up - Summer Sessions - My Family!

Monday, November 28, 2011

I had to take a much needed break from editing this evening and thought I would post some pictures from this past summer.  I was able to go visit both of my sisters and take pictures of their cute family and a new baby niece!  I'm playing catch-up again and had to get these off my list.  And one of my sisters was bugging me to put them up. :)  So here they are, Little Miss Isabella and The Griffeth Family.  Enjoy!

The Clements Family

Loved, loved, loved this session!  Great new location, sweet and beautiful family and perfect weather - this session couldn't have gone better.  I love it when my clients scope out a location and are so excited about it.  It was refreshing to have a new location to try out and fall in love with.  I loved every minute of our session - I think we all had a great time and it totally helps that every single person in this family knows how to work the camera!  LOVE!!!!  You'll remember them from this session last year - everyone is still so stinking adorable it's just amazing.  Thanks again Clements!!!  Look forward to next year!

The Bean Family welcomes baby {H}

Thursday, October 20, 2011

You might remember this couple from a while back.  Well they decided to get themselves a family and welcomed baby {H} into their lives.  I was so excited when they contacted me to capture some special moments with their little one.  The evening was perfect weather, not too hot and the lighting was just gorgeous.  The session turned out just as I imagined it.  I hope they will treasure these for a lifetime.  Congrats again you guys!  He's adorable.

Baby Boy {K}

Sunday, October 9, 2011

Oh this little boy makes me smile!  We had such a fun little session a few weeks back when it was still warm and toasty but this little guy was a trooper.  We even got him all nakey to do some darling little shots on the bridge.  His momma had a picture when she was little like it too so we had to do something similar.  A-dorable, that's all I'm gonna say.  This kid is a healthy little chub of love and you can tell his momma adores him.  Thanks again for such a fun morning!

Another beautiful baby girl - Baby {A}

How adorable is this face? I got to visit and get to know this little one's family while taking pictures in their backyard. It was super duper hot but she was a trooper. Dad had the fan going, the spray bottle spraying and mom was all about making baby {a} smile and coo for the camera. I captured some sweet ones and am pretty sure that you just can't get any cuter than this!

Mr. {E} - Summer Session

Monday, September 19, 2011

I'm playing catch-up once again - story of my life lately.  I shot this session months ago, don't even want to tell you how long it's been cause I can't even remember myself!  But this little dude's session got put on the back burner for posting with busy end of year school stuff, summer vacations and now back to school craziness.  I took him to one of my absolute favorite spots but it's usually too far away for my local clients to drive.  But since they lived close by - I said why not!  He was the sweetest little thing and kept me laughing the whole time.  He's got some serious looks this kid- momma's gonna have to watch out for the ladies!

I'm late, I'm late, I'm late! Posting - {D} Family Photos

Wednesday, July 13, 2011

I can't believe it's been a month since I've posted - again.  Time is flying by this summer and we've been busy, busy non-stop for the last several weeks.  Headed out for vacation for the next couple weeks and realized I better get caught up on posting.  I loved taking pictures of this cute, cute family at a beautiful new location.  Stay tuned for pictures of their cousin coming up!

Hellllloooo Summer!

Monday, June 6, 2011

It's official folks - summer is in full swing at my house.  Got my first sunburn of the season and I'm slathering on the aloe vera.  OUCH!  It can't be summer without a sunburn.  I always learn my lesson the hard way.  At least my kids are covered.  Moms always come last and I forget to take care of myself sometimes.

Speaking of being forgetful, I realized I did not post this session yet.  I met up with this cute 2 year old, Little Man {H} back in April.  He was one busy little boy but just as cute as could be.  I had fun chasing him around and watching his excitement at a furry squirrel we found. I've just decided.... 2 year olds are just cute!

Grateful and the {B} Family

Tuesday, May 24, 2011

Sitting at my computer right now listening to the wind makes me nervous.  I can't even begin to think of what the people of Joplin thought when the storm hit on Sunday.  My husband has family in Joplin and had homes that were directly hit.  He is there right now helping with cleanup efforts and working to salvage what was left of his Aunt and Grandmother's homes.   This is what is left of our Gigi's home.

She is in the hospital right now recovering from a damaged hip.  I am grateful that nothing worse happened to them.  I am thinking of my blessings and am grateful for a comfortable home to protect me and my little ones while our own protector is away.  Many prayers and thoughts for the community of Joplin.

On a lighter note here are some recent photos from one of my latest sessions.

Baby {K}

Tuesday, May 10, 2011

As a photographer it's always funny to see families taking pictures.  The way they interact with one another and who in the family will give the parents a hard time.  Who will be the kid that looks everywhere but the camera, or runs around the location and doesn't want anything to do with taking pictures.  I usually just giggle to myself and watch to see what parents will do, how they will react to the situation and how they'll get that kid to cooperate.  This past weekend we were the family taking pictures with my some of my favorite photographers.... and I was not laughing.  And who was the one that was throwing rocks and looking at bugs and making cheese faces at the camera?  My oldest - almost 8.  I am praying that we at least got one good family picture.  I didn't just wait 6 months for these pictures or anything....

However, this little gem was an angel and that's what I see when I look at these photos.  You might remember seeing her here.  She was so easy going, even through outfit changes.  We had a fun time and got some beautiful memories of this little 9 month old.  Looking forward to working with her again, that's for sure.  Oh yeah, and those eyes?  Can't get enough!

Sweet Miss {S}

Friday, May 6, 2011

Playing catch-up on my blog posts tonight and remembered I didn't blog this session yet.  I met up with this cutie pie and her momma at the gardens downtown a few weeks ago.  It was a perfect night and the flowers were in full bloom.  I had fun getting to know silly {S} and seeing her cute personality.  Her momma is a dentist - my kids dentist and boy do they LOVE her!  They actually ask to go to the dentist.  What kid ASKS to go to the dentist?  Need a recommendation for a good one.... I've got you covered.

{Miss Holly} - Dallas Fort Worth Senior Session

Sunday, April 24, 2011

It's that time of year!  The last month or so of school, kids are anxiously waiting the arrival of summer and parents are dreading it right?  I can remember my senior year like it was yesterday- full of fun and excitement of what adventures I would encounter after high school.  I thought of those memories during this shoot.  We had such a good time!  I always love meeting new people.  Meeting photogenic people also makes my job a lot easier and Holly was no exception.  It was perfect weather and we had a blast - she even brought props!  Congratulations Holly on your senior year!  Can't wait to hear what the future holds for you.
